Extremely expensive repair my car
I took my car for repairs. However i did not anticipate the cost to run up to 50000. Now the repair centre insist I pay the full amount before they will release my car, even though I offered them a payment plan. What are my rights?

How did the quoting work? Did they quote you for the repairs? Did you accept the quote? Did they do work over and above the quote without seeking your approval? Did they inform you about replacing parts before they did? If the answers are yes then you have a problem. If you did not authorise the repair cost and parts then you can take them to court. Otherwise by law they have a right to keep your vehicle until payment is done. It s called a lien.
