Police Clearance withdrawn case
About 10 years ago (in 2009) I had a Demostic violence case against me. Was taken to Police station, finger pritnts was taken and I was let go immediately, was just given a warning. The case appeared in court, where it was withdrawn. I contacted the Police station recently and discovered the case is on record, but status shows withdrawn. I was never convicted. I now need a Police clearance certificate to apply for a work permit abroad and I would like to know, will this case show on there? What is my options if it does?

Hello
Sincerest apology for late response due to a technical glitch. If the case was withdrawn then you have no criminal conviction. It only arises if you have been found guilty by a court of law or you have paid an admission of guilt fine. If a police clearance shows a criminal conviction you can obtain a certified copy of the court records and challenge it. Warm regards.
