My landlord illegally evicted me and the rental tribunal is currently closed
Hi, my landlord has evicted me without a court order, I am currently living on the street, since the 30th of December, I do not have clean clothes nor any of my toiletries, she has put a chain around the gate and told me to get my stuff and leave, I have been slow with paying rent due to the fact that I have lost my job recently… I have been giving her money when I make some… I just need assistance to get back into my house until the tribunal opens on the 8th, please any assistance would be highly appreciated.

Hello,
Surely, no landlord/landlady/home-owner has the legal right to evict a tenabt without court oversight. South Africa Constitution is so clear in this regard. If the Rental Housing Tribunal is presently unavailable as you hinted, your next stop is the law court. You have to approach the Magistrate’s court on an urgent basis in the area where the apartment is located. Thank you.
