I was admitted to a government hospital in June of 2017. While I was still there one of my friends who happens to be a friend of my managers told me that he received my medical history from my managers via his cellphone. I asked one of my managers but she denied. It really bothers me since I know my friend would never lie about such a thing. Please advise me I really don’t know what to do. According to my understanding my medical history should be confidential.

Yes. Your medical record is indeed confidential and may not be divulged without your consent. Ask your friend to send you the evidence , and lay a complaint with your HR department . Alternatively you can have a chat with your manager once you have the evidence .
