Permission denied to keep a small dog
The code of conduct for our complex states that only cats dogs and bird in cage can be kept, written permission must first be given by the trustees. (A trustee living above us has had a dog before) the owner before us had 2 dogs. They asked us to fill in an application form and give photos which we did. They won’t give us permission – reason… Dogs are not allowed. This does not make any sense to us? We have a ardent and the dog is small. We appealed the decision. the rules do not say No pets allowed? Their reply after 3 weeks is… No dogs are allowed. We feel this is completely unfair and they have no valid reason to deny us. What should I do?

Dear Gawie K, I advise you take the issue up with the Community Scheme Ombudsman who is the watchdog in this regard where complexes and community related schemes are practiced. You can Google the information and sumbit it to them asking for their assistance.
