Dear Nathania L, please note that you are correct and that the landlord/lady needs to reimburse you immediately with outstanding rent money and the deposit if the property was in the same condition as hired by you when you moved out. Was there a written lease? You now need to immediately send a final letter of demand for the moneyies owing and inform her that you are taking the matter further with the Rental and Housing Board in her area if she fails to pay up in 3 days as stipulated in your letter of demand.

Dear Nathania L, I inferred as much. I advise you recheck the basis of refunding of the deposit in the lease agreement as well as the landlady’s notice period in respect of the cancellation of the lease or just the cancellation thereof. From your submissions it is obvious the landlady is in breach however check anyway and place her in contractual breach with your final letter of demand and as already advised with reference to report her failures to honour the contract to the Rental and Housing Commission.
