I am somewhat not too sure about your first question…whether you meant changing ownership status in terms of the property registration record as held at the Deed Office or in terms of the mortgage. If it is the later, you have to notify the financial institution responsible. If it is the former, the parties who are in joint ownerhip may approach the deed registrar’s office in the jurisdiction where the property is registered. They will be appropriately guided.
