letter of disciplinary hearing
Hi I just received a letter of a disciplinary hearing without the employer tell me my charges in a meeting. Is this fine do I sign?
The actions were discussed with other employees and not formally with me the letter was given to the receptionist to give to me as I feel this is a legal document shouldn’t the employer be handing my notice over?
Evening Stefano P, are the employer’s disciplinary procedures/processes incorporated in your employment agreement? If so, study them and see if they were followed. If there are none then the employer may follow the current procedure and yes you must sign for it. The letter is merely what it is a “letter” hence the receptionist can deliver it. The content is private and i infer the letter contains the charges.
