Emigrating with a pending foster case
I would like to find out the legal status of Emigrating with a foster child if the case is still pending? My foster parents brought me to South Africa in 2002 whilst my foster case was still pending. I faced a great deal of abuse in living with them till I was 18 and I have reason to believe that I was either kidnapped or trafficked as a child. What are the laws of foster children and Emigrating and what can I do as I have been struggling to gain citizenship in South Africa since I was 13. My step parents only stamped my visa twice when hey brought me here until my passport expired and they were forced to rectify their mistakes. I would like to take this matter further butility I need legal assistance I am unemployed and therefore unable to pay for la where fees. What can I do about his matter?

Good Morning Hazel M, South Africa has many different Departments that can assist you freely with your issues. The main problem that stands out like a sore thumb is the treatment and abuse you have been exposed to over the years and it currently seems you have not been assisted in the past thus I would advise and recommend that you go to your nearest legal aid offices and ask them to assist you in solving your issues through one of their competent in house lawyers which assistance will be free of charge.

Evening Hazel, the best advice is that you go to the legal aid office closest to you as i advised earlier and ask assistance from one of their competent in house lawyers as there are numerous issues that you need to face and address and I submit that you do not tackle them alone without some form of legal assistance.
