Where must I complain and what is the method of serving a complaint?
I was physically man-handled by Traffic Department security guard infront of my 5 year old son and nearly fell on the floor. They denied me and my son to leave the premises saying that I need to pay for a fine that belongs to my husband. JMPD officers then came to arrest me because I could not afford to pay the fines. I was taken to a police station but was not entered into a cell instead was made to wait in a boardoom where a captain addressed me. The captain said that I am under arrest but he needs a statement from the cashier who was helping me in order to lay a charge. Is this in anyway how traffic department handles women and children? Where can I complain about this and what is the method of approach for complaining and opening a case?
If you feel strongly about the man-handling, you can claim damages as a result of the assault. You will need to visit a doctor without delay to have the injury assessed. You are also required to go to the police station in the area where the assault took place and lay a charge of assault.
