Children’s wellbeing – Wife has committed adultery & emotionly unstable
HI, My son’s wife has committed adultery on more than one occasion during this year alone, this includes sending naked photos to other men. This has affected my son’s marriage and is having an adverse affect on their 2 small children. They are married in community of property, and she refuses to move out of the home. On Sunday she started cutting herself when my son told her that he is not prepared to take this anymore. My son cannot afford legal fees but wants to gain custody of the children as his wife is currently emotionally unstable.

Hello. Does your son wish to get a divorce or simply separate? The main issues in a marital breakdown is custody of the children and property issues, as well as maintenance for the kids. I will suggest you first book an appointment to see the government appointed Family Advocate, who will listen to the detail of both sides and advice on the way forward. Google for the contact detail of the Family Advocate, in the town or city you are. If in Johannesburg you will find her on the 17th Floor of this address: Schreiners Chambers, 94 Pritchard Street. CBD. All the best.
