UIF Claim not paid as yet?
So I paid a company to assist me with my UIF claim while I was on Maternity leave and I keep following up with them and I am getting no where? What can I do in this type of situation? It’s been stressful enough having my first child and now no UIF payments, debt pilling up and no feedback from the company that promised to assist me.
To process your UIF claim, you do not need to pay an agent as that is completely unnecessary. All you need to do is to go to the department of labour with your ID. Yes, just your ID will do. You will be appropriately guided by the officers at the department with regard to the necessary forms that requires completion. I can assure you that the services are quick.

The thing is that your question depicts unhappiness with the agent probably because of the delay (if I am wrong). To answer the “why” question, nothing stops you from visiting the labour department with your ID to find out. Remember, the outcome of your finding will advise the nature of action you will take against the agent, i.e, whether to seek full refund of your money assuming labour informed you there was never any submission made in your favour by the agent.
