Falsely rejected documents
Hi How are you? I am an existing client (student loan at a bank, in March 2017 I submitted my registration documents and the bank accepted them, later in October the bank says, my registration details will not be accepted as they are invalid and only a time table not a proof of my registration. They asked for numbers and emails of my university, I gave it , they then called and emailed my university asking for proof of registration not only for 2017 but also 2016.They made me look like I submitted wrong documents.Later after I sent more proof and complained the bank says it is sorry for the inconvenience. The bank says this is procedure I am asking is such a procedure legal and ethical ?
Good Afternoon Lungile M, I am well. I trust you will feel a whole lot better soon. Financial institutions have a right especially in today’s milieu of white collar crime, to wit, fraud, and it is in the order of business especially when they need to lend a client money to check up if any documents submitted to them reflect the veracity submitted, hence are the documents and information valid or legal and if their client’s submissions were of course correct. Their procedure was legal and ethical..perhaps their bedside manner needs to improve. Best regards.
