What are my rights when dealing with an Employer at a hair salon?
I would like to know my rights regarding employment at a hair salon whereby I fully disclosed all past records with them before employment and since a client came in to salon and brought up history they have been treating me unfairly, discriminating against me, emotionally abusing me and deformation of character. Would appreciate if you could help me know my rights in this situation and any advice on how to proceed further. Thank you

Hello. What you have detailed amounts to unfair labour practice, which is prohibited by the Labour relations act. Tell them you have taken legal advise and that what they are doing is wrong and has legal consequences. Make sure it is in writing. If they try to dismiss you or do not stop what they are doing , you should approach the CCMA for relief ( Commission for conciliation, mediation, and arbitration ). They can order your employers to pay you damages. If the situation becomes intolerable and you quit, it is called constructive dismissal. The CCMA awards months of salaries in advance for unfair dismissals. Constructive dismissal is regarded as unfair dismissal. You can get such an award and look for another more fulfilling environment to work, where you will be better appreciated.
